SAPHIR LEATHER DYE - LIGHTENING BASE

The lightening base must be added to another Saphir Teinture Française dye in order to lighten the shade.

Saphir's Teinture Française is an alcohol-based, extremely penetrating dye. It is designed for dyeing light colors into darker ones.

It can be used on smooth leathers as well as suede, nubuck, or velvet leathers. Specially formulated for leathers with minimal porosity, the Teinture Française penetrates even surfaces with low absorbency, where other dyes remain on the surface. It is the go-to dye for cobblers.

All colors in the range are miscible with each other, allowing you to create your own shades. If you are creating a mixture, be sure to prepare a sufficient quantity for the entire surface to be dyed.
The color chart is provided for guidance only. The resulting color depends on the original shade and the nature of the leather.
A prior test on an inconspicuous area of the leather is recommended to verify the shade.

Usage instructions :
- For best results on smooth leathers, it is advisable to use the Saphir preparer (ref. WA337) to open the pores of the leather.
- Protect your hands with gloves, then apply the Teinture Française using the applicator pad. We recommend applying 2 thin coats to obtain a uniform and homogeneous shade.
- Allow to dry for 2 hours between each coat.
- To ensure optimal results after applying the dye, it is recommended to use a specific finishing product:
For your suede and nubuck leathers, use the Saphir Renovétine spray (ref. WA325).
For your smooth, well-conditioned leathers, apply a Surfine cream for shoes (ref. WA323) or a Canadian cream for leather goods or jackets (ref. WA327).
For your worn smooth leathers, apply Saphir Juvacuir (ref. WA069).
For your heavily worn smooth leathers, apply the Renovating Cream (ref. WA305).

Volume : 50 ml (enough to dye one pair of shoes).

Each box contains a 50ml jar of dye, a pair of plastic gloves, and an applicator pad.

Please note: dyeing suede or nubuck leather is intended for experienced users.
