How to sew the hook and loop (Velcro) tape?
- Cut the tape to the right length, allowing for a 2 to 3 mm margin on each side.
- Pin each strip separately to its final location.
- Sew approximately 2 mm from the edge.
By sewing machine: we recommend using a Teflon foot and a needle suitable for heavy thicknesses. Sew with a straight stitch or a wide zigzag stitch.
By hand: use a strong thread and perform a sturdy stitch (whip stitch, backstitch, or buttonhole stitch).
- Reinforce the seams at the ends and corners, which are subject to the most wear with repeated opening.
