6 CM FOIL FOR LEATHER DECORATION

This hot stamping foil is the ideal transfer film to enhance your leather creations with a brilliant finish. Used with heated brass type (letters, numbers, symbols), it highlights the text.

Its 60 mm width makes it the reference format for large patterns, multi-line texts, or logos, where narrower foils are limited to small impressions.

The foil is ideal for personalizing and embellishing your wallets, bags, belts, and other leather accessories.

Available in four colors: gold, silver, black, or white.

Using foil with Deco Cuir brass type:
The foil can be used for hot stamping by screwing the Deco Cuir type holder onto an electric creasing iron or by screwing it onto the Deco Cuir brass handle.
- Cut a piece of foil to the desired length. Position the shiny side of the foil upwards.
- Set the creasing iron temperature between 100 °C and 120 °C. For use with the Deco Cuir brass handle, heat the brass type with a torch, for example, and wear gloves to protect yourself from the heat.
- Apply the type to your leather, ensuring perfect verticality (for use with the handle, you can gently tap it with a wooden or nylon mallet if necessary).
- Gently remove the foil sheet.

Using with the 3970-00 heat press:
- Recommended temperature: between 110 °C and 150 °C.
- Cut a piece of foil to the desired length.
- On the sliding tray, position the leather then the foil (shiny side visible).
- For most smooth mineral-tanned leathers, gently lower the press handle 2-3 times for 1 second to transfer the foil (do not hold down for too long, as this may cause smudges). For vegetable-tanned leather, lower the handle only once.
- Gently remove the foil sheet.

We advise you to test on a scrap piece of the same leather to adjust the temperature setting, application time, and pressure.
We do not recommend applying foil to grained leather or suede crust.
