They are used to sculpt the contours of a design. They are the first tools, after the swivel knife, that give relief to the design. Beveler stamps come in various widths and can be smooth or textured.
This stamp on handle is a large checkered Beveler, which allows for good adhesion of dye or patine and enhances the relief effect during coloring.
